"Nearly everything can be produced more cheaply, at the cost of quality. Enterprises which subscribe to this philosophy win the business of consumers who base their choice of product simply on price.
It's unwise to pay too much, worse yet to pay too little. When you pay too much you just lose some money. On the other hand, when you pay too little you sometimes lose everything when the object in question is unable to fulfil it's purpose.
You get what you pay for. You don't get something for nothing.
